Overview

The Visiting Professor (VP) at Chamberlain University collaborates with academic partners to support nursing students through their academic programs and NCLEX-RN exam preparation, utilizing evidence-based strategies in a virtual environment.

• Facilitate virtual tutoring and workshops for nursing students.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing practice and NCLEX-RN Test Plan.
• Provide NCLEX coaching and mentoring.
• Create virtual activities and workshops aligned with NCLEX-RN standards.
• Attend virtual meetings to support project needs.
• Communicate students’ academic progress effectively.
• Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
• Adapt to changes and show flexibility in scheduling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Master's Degree in Education or Nursing required.
• Doctoral Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license required.
• 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse required.
• 2+ years of experience supporting nursing students required.
• Excellent communication and technology skills required.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of nursing education and NCLEX-RN.
• Strong organizational and time management skills required.
