The Documentation Specialist at AdaptHealth is responsible for creating and managing patient documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and supporting the revenue cycle.

In Short

• Create electronic forms for patient documents.
• Manage patient eligibility documents.
• Contact healthcare providers for necessary documentation.
• Communicate with insurance companies for prior authorizations.
• Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide backup support to Customer Service.
• Analyze documentation for billing compliance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain physician databases for accurate billing documentation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in healthcare administration or customer service.
• Two years of experience for senior level positions.
• Experience in a Medicare certified environment is preferred.
