Overview

Acorns is seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team as a Paralegal to manage the day-to-day legal response process related to court documents received by the organization, such as subpoenas, garnishments, liens, and other notices.

In Short

• Part-time position with 15-20 hours/week commitment.
• Remote work option available within the United States.
• Manage and maintain the Subpoenas Gmail inbox.
• Create and maintain records of responsive documents.
• Download and review incoming subpoenas and legal requests.
• Prepare responsive documents and apply necessary watermarks.
• Utilize templates for response letters and certificates of authenticity.
• Send encrypted documents to law enforcement agencies.
• Must have a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of legal experience.
• Experience with subpoena management software is a plus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience with subpoena management software (e.g. Kodex or Logikcull) a plus.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Proficient in Google Suite and Adobe PDF software.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• High level of English proficiency.
