Overview

AccuWeather is seeking an intermediate to senior Android Developer to support the android team at AccuWeather. This position will directly report to the Senior Manager, App technologies.

In Short

• Build rich mobile applications and guide feature development.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams for user experience.
• Provide code review and feedback to team members.
• Resolve defects and support testing efforts.
• Optimize application for speed and scalability.
• Build reusable code and libraries.
• Evaluate new frameworks and technologies.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Android development.
• Experience in Kotlin and Compose UI.
• Knowledge of Android SDK performance tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years developing native Android applications.
• Experience with Kotlin and Compose UI.
• Familiarity with Android Architecture Components and MVVM.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with source control systems like Git.
• Agile delivery team experience.
• Knowledge of packaging and signing mobile applications.
• Experience with mobile hardware SDKs.
• Experience with analytics platforms.
