Overview

The Claims Representative is responsible for managing mitigation losses in accordance with authority level and ensuring efficient communication with policyholders and contractors.

In Short

  • Manage claims to mitigate damage for insurance carriers.
  • Provide prompt contact with policyholders and dispatch contractors.
  • Confirm damages and verify claim status.
  • Work with contractors to ensure industry standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding claims.
  • Enter data into claims databases accurately.
  • Participate in training and meetings for performance maximization.
  • Meet or exceed productivity metrics as per company guidelines.
  • Complete necessary documentation for claims processing.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Able to pass IICRC WRT certification course after training.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems timely.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative.
