Senior Data Engineer - Healthcare & Benefits - Remote

Overview

We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer to lead the technical design and implementation of our foundational healthcare data platform. You'll design and build the system that ingests, models, and activates raw claims, eligibility, clinical, HR, and engagement data using SQL, dbt, Python, and Dagster. You'll be deeply involved in creating a dynamic data platform that enables large-scale data exchange across the benefits ecosystem.

In Short

• Lead the design of our centralized data platform built with Dagster, dbt, and Airbyte
• Develop scalable implementations of per-client data platform deployments
• Own data pipelines connecting clients and vendors
• Troubleshoot data issues with client/vendor teams
• Implement reusable data models and quality frameworks
• Partner with Product to inform product and AI roadmap

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in data engineering or similar roles
• 6+ years experience with SQL and Python
• 3+ years experience with dbt and Dagster
• Expert proficiency with modern ETL/ELT tools and practices
• Past experience building data platforms
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex data quality issues
• Prior experience developing and leading complex technical projects
