Overview

Join ABBYY as a Pre-sales Engineer and support our sales initiatives across the DACH region, acting as a trusted technical advisor to clients while driving the adoption of ABBYY technologies.

In Short

  • Act as the primary technical advisor in the sales cycle.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand customer business processes.
  • Deliver product presentations and live demonstrations.
  • Lead the creation of proof-of-concepts and solution architecture.
  • Respond to RFPs and security/compliance questionnaires.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for successful post-sale handoff.
  • Maintain subject matter expertise on ABBYY’s solutions.
  • Provide technical assistance to partners and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in pre-sales or solution engineering.
  • Native-level German proficiency and strong English skills.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles with enterprise clients.
  • Exceptional written communication and presenting skills.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, SDKs, and enterprise IT architecture.
  • Experience in JavaScript, C# .Net or other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of RPA platforms is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and consultative mindset.
  • Willingness to travel across the DACH region.
  • Able to work independently and within a global remote team.
