Medical Lead, Oncology, Intercontinental - Remote

Overview

The Medical Lead, Oncology, INTERCONTINENTAL will provide medical/scientific strategic and operational input into core medical affairs activities and will provide relevant scientific and technical training to Affiliate Therapeutic Region resources.

In Short

• Develops Area therapeutic strategy for medical affairs.
• Provides consultation to affiliates on therapeutic strategy.
• Participates in cross-functional teams for core brand strategies.
• Supports execution of priority clinical development trials.
• Provides training on therapeutic topics to cross-functional peers.
• Engages with external experts and represents AbbVie at meetings.
• Maintains relationships with key external experts and societies.
• Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Expert knowledge in oncology and clinical trial methodology.
• Manages complex medical affairs teams independently.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MD, PhD, DO) in relevant therapeutic specialty.
• 5 years of clinical trial or medical affairs experience.
• 2 years of oncology experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven leadership skills in a global team environment.
• Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Ability to address complex problems in various projects.
• Strong goal orientation and decision-making ability.
• Knowledge of Pharmacovigilance practices.
• Ability to work on complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation.
