Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN - Remote

Overview

The Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) CAP 1 is responsible for providing and coordinating clinically competent care for patients in a hemodialysis setting, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations while participating in quality improvement activities.

• Entry level RN position in the Clinical Advancement Program.
• Accountable for patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Delegates tasks to patient care staff including RNs and LPNs.

• Administers medications and ensures proper laboratory procedures.
• May require travel to training sites or other facilities.
• Supervises Patient Care Technicians and other nursing staff.
• Must have current state licensure and CPR certification.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Entry level experience in Nephrology Nursing preferred.
• Minimum 9 months experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
• Experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis preferred.
• Must complete CAP requirements to advance.
• Ability to perform physical demands of the job.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Must meet practice requirements in the state of employment.
