The Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) provides clinically competent care for patients in a healthcare setting, focusing on hemodialysis treatment and patient education.

In Short

• Full-Time position (36-40 hours per week)
• 12-week paid training program
• Accountable for patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Delegates tasks to nursing staff and Patient Care Technicians
• Participates in quality improvement and decision-making processes
• Administers medications and documents patient care
• Provides education to patients and families regarding treatment options
• Requires physical capability to assist with patient care
• Supervises and trains less experienced nursing staff
• Must meet state licensure and CPR certification requirements

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing license
• Entry-level position for RNs with less than 2 years of experience
• Preferred experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis
• Ability to perform physical demands of the job
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education
• Ability to work in a healthcare facility environment
• Must complete CAP requirements to advance
• Must be able to assist with emergency response measures
