Overview

A Senior Data Engineer is needed to develop a data transformation and workflow solution for the U.S. Army, focusing on deploying a cloud-based replacement for a legacy financial system and innovating new cloud-first solutions.

In Short

• Develop data transformation and workflow solutions for the U.S. Army.
• Deploy and operate a cloud-based financial system replacement.
• Responsible for data pipeline cloud components and security.
• Communicate data design decisions to various audiences.
• Work with multiple teams on architectural and programming challenges.
• Ensure high-quality, tested, and secure product delivery.
• Occasional travel may be required (3-4 times annually).
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of related experience required.

Requirements

• Well-versed in Python.
• Experience building and managing data pipelines.
• Experience consuming data via APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with GitLab.
• Experience building dashboards using PowerBI or similar tools.
• Experience working via the terminal/command line.
• Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence.
