Director of Finance - Remote

Overview

The Director of Finance will be a key partner responsible for driving the overall financial planning and analysis (FP&A) efforts within the organization and operating in all areas relating to budgeting and forecasting activities, financial reporting and accounting, cash management, and the support of 50CAN’s fiscal sponsor program.

In Short

• Lead and manage the annual budget planning process.
• Own and manage financial processes including comparing budget to actuals.
• Develop financial metrics, cash flow forecasts, and long-term financial planning.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for internal teams.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure financial alignment.
• Support annual audit and tax filing processes.
• Oversee the organization’s banking activities and investments.
• Ensure compliance with fiscal and programmatic reporting requirements.
• Track restricted grants and monitor revenues against budget.
• Provide financial training for new fiscal sponsees.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in a senior management role in finance.
• Experience in a nonprofit environment preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with financial software applications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate.
