Overview

The Material Control Specialist at Woodward is responsible for ensuring supplier provided components are delivered for use in the production process while maintaining high professional and ethical standards.

In Short

  • Ensures accuracy of supplier promise dates.
  • Responsible for early reporting of potential supply disruptions.
  • Meets with suppliers regularly to review delivery recovery plans.
  • Tracks late material from shipment to production issuance.
  • Coordinates part transport to other departments.
  • Monitors supplier forecasts for impact on supply ability.
  • Uses ERP systems to manage item status.
  • Trains suppliers on commitment and acknowledgment processes.
  • Escalates late deliveries to appropriate members.
  • Reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing processes without a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under supervision and make decisions.
  • Experience with supplier management.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and teamwork.
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
