FX Pipeline Technical Director (TD) - Stop Motion VFX Project - Remote

Overview

The FX Pipeline Technical Director (TD) will work closely with artists, senior engineers, and technical directors to design, develop, deploy, and support custom tools, scripts, OTLs, APIs, and plugins to extend the capabilities of our USD-backed, Houdini-based FX Pipeline.

• Experience with Python and Houdini's APIs is essential.
• Must be a resident of British Columbia, Canada.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience in a VFX studio.
• Proficient in Python and familiar with industry libraries.
• Experience with Houdini and its integration into production pipelines.
• Designing and authoring Houdini Digital Assets.
• Knowledge of USD and its APIs.
• Experience with production-grade renderers like Renderman.
• Familiarity with DCCs such as Maya or Nuke is a plus.
• Experience with SCM tools like Git.
• Linux experience preferred.
