Senior Applied Scientist - Remote

Overview

The Senior Applied Scientist will work on Zillow Group’s Conversion and Core Modeling team to develop a decision framework for the For Sale marketplace, focusing on optimization and production machine learning.

In Short

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied science experience.
• 3+ years owning production machine learning systems.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• Strong mathematical and algorithmic reasoning skills.
• Experience with multi-objective tradeoffs and constraints.
• Software engineering fundamentals in production environments.
• Experience with explainable systems.
• Curiosity and structured problem-solving skills.
• Nice to have experience in marketplace decision systems.
