Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant will support key activities within Zillow's Corporate Accounting team, focusing on month-end and quarter-end close processes, international accounting, and compliance.

In Short

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support international accounting and reporting for foreign subsidiaries.
• Perform flux analysis for operating expenses and balance sheet accounts.
• Partner with Tax and Financial Reporting on compliance matters.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Own and operate SOX controls as needed.
• Build relationships with Finance and business stakeholders.
• Communicate accounting matters effectively to non-accountants.
• Work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close processes.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Proactive and self-directed.
• Audit experience preferred.
