Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Accountant at Zenjob, you will be responsible for accounts payable processes and assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

In Short

• Responsible for ongoing accounts payable processes including invoice verification and posting of credit card transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable accounts and prepare payment runs via DATEV.
• Prepare travel expense and reimbursement reports.
• Act as a point of contact for accounts payable processes, both internally and externally.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements related to accounts payable.

Requirements

• Completed commercial training or a comparable qualification.
• 4-5 years of professional experience in accounting, especially in accounts payable management.
• Good knowledge of VAT law and HGB.
• Proficient with accounting software (e.g., DATEV) and MS Office.
• Excellent German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong attention to detail and affinity for numbers.
• Structured working style, initiative, and strong self-organization skills.
