Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Head to lead our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of goods in our warehouse.

In Short

  • Manage and supervise warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and verification of incoming shipments against purchase orders and inventory records.
  • Develop and implement efficient processes for stocking and organizing inventory in designated areas of the warehouse.
  • Establish and maintain procedures for conducting regular inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies in inventory or shipping, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate the preparation and processing of shipments for delivery, including packing, labeling, and documentation.
  • Manage the processing of returns, damaged goods, and defective products, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and customer service, to ensure smooth warehouse operations and timely delivery of goods.

Requirements

  • A minimum bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in a warehouse or distribution setting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, including training, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately count and record inventory.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in computerized inventory management systems and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Certification in forklift operation is a plus.
