Roadway Engineer - Remote

Overview

BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented Roadway Engineer to join our team! In this role you will design and develop roadway and Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) for various facility types, manage assigned tasks and design staff, contribute to project delivery and presentations, and support team growth through mentorship and innovation.

In Short

• Analyze and prepare roadway and Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) designs.
• Develop 3D Models of roadways using Corridor Modeling in GEOPAK and/or Open Roads.
• Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review.
• Manage timely completion of multiple assigned tasks.
• Communicate effectively with team members and external entities.
• Present proposed design solutions in internal project meetings.
• Participate in marketing campaigns and provide resume updates.
• Seek and provide feedback for personal career development.
• Contribute to the development of other team members through mentorship.
• Potential to serve as Engineer-of-Record on assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• 4+ years of experience in roadway engineering.
• Ability to analyze and prepare designs and calculations.
• Experience with DOT and/or local jurisdiction criteria.
• Technical discretion applied to first revision of technician work product.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Willingness to mentor junior staff.
• Commitment to personal career development.
