General Coordinator (Consultant Position) - Remote

Overview

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Coordinator to oversee the field-level implementation of its Syria project, focused on safety, inclusive dialogue, and trust-building in conflict-affected communities.

In Short

• Coordinate all field-level activities across selected locations in Syria.
• Supervise national and local coordinators.
• Serve as the main liaison between field teams and the Geneva office.
• Facilitate coordination with local partners.
• Participate in strategy meetings and evaluation processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project coordination or field management.
• Strong knowledge of the Syrian socio-political and security environment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Well-established networks with religious leaders and civil society actors.
• Fluency in Arabic; working knowledge of English and French preferred.
