Overview

The Ultrasonographer is involved in direct patient care while managing room workflow under the supervision of the Ultrasound Supervisor, ensuring high-quality ultrasound examinations are performed.

In Short

• Full-time position with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm.
• On-call rotation required, may include weeknights, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Generous sign-on bonus of $15,000 offered.
• Must have certification in a minimum of 2 ultrasound modalities (Abdomen, OB/GYN).
• Participates in training of Ultrasound students.
• Ensures exams are performed according to department quality standards.
• Maintains documentation and enters charges into the EMR accurately.
• Participates in quality assurance and research for new exams and protocols.
• Must maintain working competency in all exams performed.
• Effective communication with departmental staff and patients is essential.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited program in Ultrasound Sciences.
• Current ARDMS registry in Ultrasound required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Registry eligible new graduates must acquire certification within specified timeframes.
• Minimum of one-year clinical experience preferred.
• High Risk OB/GYN scanning experience preferred upon hire.
• Ability to multi-task and think proactively.
• Must be able to lift and move 25 pounds of weight.
