Plumber - Remote

Overview

The Plumber will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems within the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing codes and the ability to work with various materials and systems.

In Short

• Install and repair plumbing throughout the hospital campus.
• Maintain wastewater treatment systems.
• Respond to emergency and trouble calls.
• Proficient in various plumbing materials such as iron, steel, and copper.
• May perform functions of a gas fitter and steamfitter.
• Must be able to read and follow blueprints.
• Knowledge of Massachusetts plumbing codes required.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools.
• Work may require overtime on occasion.
• Requires a valid Massachusetts plumber's license.

Requirements

• Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma in Plumbing preferred.
• Completion of a three-year apprentice program in plumbing.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience required.
• Personal driver's license preferred.
• Various plumbing certifications preferred.
• Physical strength and stamina for the job.
• Ability to work with hand tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
