Overview

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide direct care to patients in a high-volume inpatient clinical service, focusing on cardiovascular disease management.

In Short

• Work under the direction of the Section Head for Interventional Cardiology.
• Provide direct patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.
• Develop and evaluate specialized healthcare programs for patients with cardiovascular disease.
• Perform history and physical examinations and manage procedural patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in educational programs for healthcare professionals.
• Maintain professional growth and required credentials.
• Work in both a medical office and hospital setting.
• Available for day shifts of 10 and 12 hours, Monday to Friday.
• Responsible for documentation and timely submission for reimbursement.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Certification in advanced practice nursing or physician assistant.
• Certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills.
• Competence in providing cardiac care.
• Ability to perform clinical management for procedural patients.
• Computer skills for administrative and clinical tasks.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
• Experience in patient assessment and care coordination.
• Commitment to maintaining clinical knowledge based on current practices.
