MRI Technologist, Per-diem - Remote

Overview

The MRI Technologist will perform magnetic resonance imaging studies, ensuring patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality imaging services.

In Short

• Perform MRI studies using a magnetic resonance imaging system.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging.
• Set imaging parameters and acquire images.
• Perform quality assurance scans as needed.
• Work cohesively within the MRI Department team.
• Manage MRI safety components and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Record information in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Assist with patient scheduling and inventory tasks.
• Provide patient education on MRI safety procedures.
• Participate in emergency procedures and quality control.

Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in medical imaging required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• MRI Registered Technologist with ARRT or ARMRIT within 1 year.
• BLS certification within 90 days.
• Ability to perform routine outpatient exams with and without contrast.
• Competency in managing patient safety and protocol adherence.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to rotate across MRI scanners as needed.
