Overview

The Environmental Services Aide Level I is responsible for performing duties to provide a clean, sanitary, and pleasant environment to a high standard to enhance quality patient care at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

In Short

• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in hospital environments.
• Perform cleaning duties in patient care units and common areas.
• Sanitize bathrooms and restock expendable items.
• Follow safety practices and infection control policies.
• Work Monday to Friday from 2:15pm to 10:45pm.
• Must respond to requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional growth and development.
• Part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of environmental services experience preferred.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Experience in environmental services or housekeeping preferred.
• Attention to detail and high-quality customer service skills required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning duties.
• Must adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• Must attend required meetings and training sessions.
