ED Unit Service Technician - Remote

Overview

The ED Unit Service Technician plays a vital role in providing care and services to patients in the Emergency Department at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. This position requires a commitment to patient-centered care and collaboration with nursing staff.

In Short

• Full-time position with a Day/Evening rotation
• Responsible for patient care tasks including EKG and phlebotomy
• Perform secretarial duties in the Emergency Department
• Transport patients safely throughout the hospital
• Participate in a weekend and holiday rotation
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant or EMT required
• Basic Life Support certification needed
• Experience in a medical technician role preferred
• Adhere to I C.A.R.E. Standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant license or EMT license required
• Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Physical ability to handle patient transport and care
• Organizational skills to set priorities
• Ability to pass clinical competency testing
• Experience in an Emergency setting preferred
