Clinical Social Worker - Addiction Consult Team - Remote

Overview

The Clinical Social Worker will serve as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary Addictions Consult Team, collaborating with medical staff to manage patients with substance use disorders in the medical and surgical inpatient setting.

• Full-time position with the opportunity to work four 10-hour days after orientation.
• Provide clinical services to patients and families addressing psychosocial and cultural issues.
• Conduct SUD bio-psychosocial assessments and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide psycho-education and motivational interventions to patients.
• Lead discharge planning efforts for SUD aftercare services.
• Collaborate with case management on patient discharge to medical facilities.
• Participate in team meetings and case conferences to improve patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation conforming with regulations.
• Advocate for patients and negotiate care systems on their behalf.
• Engage with family systems to involve them in the recovery process.

Requirements

• Master's of Social Work (MSW) or Master's in Mental Health Counseling or Psychology required.
• Massachusetts license (LICSW, LCSW, or LMHC) required.
• Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.
• Strong assessment and treatment skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of community services and resources.
• Skills in supportive counseling and care coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
• Interpersonal skills to maintain effective relationships with patients and families.
