Overview

The Clinic/Practice Assistant plays a vital role in the operations of community-based physician practices, providing administrative support and ensuring a high-quality experience for patients.

In Short

• Full-Time 40-hour role, onsite Monday through Friday.
• Responsible for scheduling appointments and obtaining prior authorizations.
• Greet patients and assist with pre-visit paperwork during check-in.
• Complete forms and collect co-payments during check-out.
• Field incoming calls and take detailed messages.
• Monitor patient flow and waiting room activity.
• Provide general support to practice leadership and clinicians.
• Requires a high school diploma and two years of medical office experience.
• Preferred experience in a community-based medical practice and with Epic.
• Emphasis on empathy, positive attitude, and passion for patient care.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of medical office experience.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high-volume setting.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
