Overview

The Bone Density Technologist at Cooley Dickinson Hospital is responsible for performing DXA scans and providing high-quality patient care in a supportive and diverse environment.

In Short

• Perform DXA scans of spine, hip, forearm, and whole body.
• Work under the supervision of a physician.

• Required to have a Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License.
• ARRT certification for Bone Densitometry required within one year of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required if Associate’s degree is waived.
• Current ARRT certification required.
• Credentialing in Nuclear Medicine Technology is a plus.
• Must be capable of handling patients from invitro through adult.
