Senior Linguist - Portuguese - Remote

Overview

The Portuguese Senior Linguist plays a key role in ensuring high-quality translation and localization for assigned projects and accounts. The linguist is responsible for coordinating freelance translators, addressing project-related queries, and fostering effective collaboration among team members. Additionally, they will contribute to process improvements, test and qualify new vendors, and train both internal linguists and freelancers.

Requirements

• University degree in Translation/Applied Languages or equivalent
• 4+ years of relevant experience in translation/localization
• Fluent in English and native in Portuguese (Portugal)
• Thorough understanding of the localization process
• Excellent user experience with Windows and Office applications
• Experience with CAT tools like XTM and SDL Studio
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with tight deadlines
• Ability to coordinate internal and external translators
• Excellent problem-solving skills
