Overview

As a Senior Manager, Assumption Specialist at CVS Health, you will engage deeply with mathematical models and collaborate across departments to ensure underwriting model assumptions are up-to-date and aligned with strategic goals.

In Short

  • Design and conduct studies to validate and refine existing assumptions.
  • Lead Actual to Expected Analyses with analytics partners.
  • Collaborate with business partners to provide risk management advice.
  • Communicate actuarial processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Review and interpret financial models for planning and forecasting.
  • Anticipate issues affecting financial results and make recommendations.
  • Provide support for broader actuarial priorities and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Work with analysts on a project-by-project basis.
  • Engage in innovative solutions for business challenges.
  • Maintain strong collaboration skills across business units.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in financials, data analytics, or actuarial roles.
  • Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA or FSA).
  • 2+ years of experience in pharmacy benefits management or Rx consulting.
  • Strong financial modeling experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or related fields.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on meeting defined goals.
  • Innovative mindset and ability to work in dynamic environments.
  • Ability to convey complex topics clearly and concisely.
  • Experience working with evolving priorities.
