The Medical Scribe at Oak Street Health supports primary care providers with clinical documentation, allowing them to focus on providing exceptional care to patients.

In Short

• Document patient encounters in real-time.
• Assist providers with clinical documentation.
• Participate in daily huddles and clinical reviews.
• Prepare After Visit Summaries.
• Support the care team with administrative tasks.
• Commit to a minimum of 1-2 years in the role.
• Receive extensive training in clinical workflows.
• Work full-time, approximately 40-45 hours per week.
• Requirements include knowledge of medical terminology.

Requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience preferred.
• Advanced listening and communication skills.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Ability to type 70+ words per minute.
• Willingness to work in-person in clinics.
• Compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• US work authorization required.
• Ability to adapt to new workflows.
• Excellent job attendance.
