Overview

The Medical Director for Medicaid at CVS Health will lead utilization management efforts, ensuring quality care and timely responses for members and providers in the Illinois Medicaid plan.

• Work from Home position supporting the Aetna Illinois Medicaid plan.
• Responsible for Utilization Management including prior authorization and concurrent review.
• Requires M.D. or D.O. with active board certification.
• Five or more years of direct patient care experience required.
• Part of a centralized team supporting multiple states.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with board certification in Family Medicine, General Surgery, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics.
• Illinois state medical license without encumbrances.
• Prior utilization management experience preferred.
• Managed care and Medicaid experience is a plus.
• Preferred Illinois residency.
