Overview

The VP, Medical Affairs Strategy reports to our Chief Medical Officer and is a partner to our Medical Affairs Operations team. This position will define and develop Medical Affairs Strategy and serve as the medical lead for post-marketing research in eyecare.

In Short

  • Act as the functional lead for Medical Affairs Strategy.
  • Develop and lead Tarsus medical strategies.
  • Serve as a disease state and product expert.
  • Partner with Compliance and Legal departments.
  • Provide cross-functional medical and scientific guidance.
  • Ensure development of clear medical strategies.
  • Build partnerships with the scientific and medical community.
  • Oversee post-marketing research.
  • Interact with key members of the medical community.
  • Oversee scientific data interpretation and publication.

Requirements

  • 15 years minimum experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
  • OD or MD/DO with specialization in ophthalmology preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful product launches.
  • Solid background in drug development.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lead business and technical discussions.
  • Strong understanding of drug commercialization.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
