Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining financial services. The Data Science internship offers students the opportunity to work on impactful projects while receiving mentorship and support.

In Short

• Internship duration: 4 to 8 months
• Open to co-op and non-co-op students, and recent grads
• Hybrid work model: in-office on Wednesdays and Thursdays
• Contribute to data-driven projects
• Work with a diverse team of data scientists and engineers
• Must be enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution
• Available for full-time hours
• Located in Canada, able to commute to Toronto HQ

• Interview process includes technical and project review stages

Requirements

• Familiarity with Python and SQL
• Basic understanding of statistics and machine learning algorithms
• Experience with Python libraries: Pandas, scikit-learn, numpy, Jupyter
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-directed learning ability

• Drive to complete projects successfully
• Comfort with tackling complex challenges
• Team-oriented mindset
• Recent graduates within 6 months of graduation
