Staff Accountant - Retail Industry - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's finance team. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, supporting month-end close, and performing daily accounting functions.

• 100% Remote position
• Salary range: $2.2 - $2.6 usd/mo
• Full-Time, long-term contractor role
• Collaborating with teams in the USA (PST)
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of cash transactions
• Track and maintain inventory costs
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Propose improvements to current accounting processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in retail
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of inventory and cost accounting preferred
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
