Entry Level Electrical Substation Designer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an Entry Level Substation Designer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Michigan offices. The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and zero to three years of experience.

In Short

• Perform CAD drafting for electrical substation projects
• Create new drawings or update existing drawings as required
• Follow CAD Standards
• Maintain accurate and quality work
• Work on multiple projects at the same time
• Seek resolutions on non-standard analytical problems
• Work closely and effectively communicate with Project Managers and Engineers
• Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules and requirements
• Attend site visits as required
• Maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Associate degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology is preferred
• 0 to 3 years of related experience required
• Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are required
• Knowledge of Autodesk AutoCad, Autodesk Revit, and/or Microstation is preferred
• Ability to learn on the fly is a plus
