Entry Level Substation Designer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an Entry Level Substation Designer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Michigan offices.

In Short

• Entry level position for CAD drafting of electrical substation projects.
• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• 0 to 3 years of experience preferred.
• Associate degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Related Technology is preferred.
• Knowledge of Autodesk AutoCad, Autodesk Revit, and/or Microstation is preferred.
• Self-motivated and able to work well with others.
• Strong writing and communication skills are necessary.
• Hybrid work environment with options for remote work.
• Infrequent travel may be required.
• Basic technical knowledge required, following industry codes and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred associate degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Related Technology.
• Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCad, Autodesk Revit, and/or Microstation.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Basic understanding of technical standards and document control processes.
• Willingness to travel infrequently.
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods.
