Electrical Substation Engineer - Hybrid - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an Electrical Substation Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Michigan offices. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, and two to five years of experience with high voltage substation design.

In Short

• Prepare one-lines, installation plans, section views, and details for power substation equipment.
• Prepare schematics, panel elevations, panel wiring diagrams, and interconnection diagrams.
• Perform research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
• Perform complex engineering calculations/studies related to substation projects.
• Create RTU control, status and analog point lists, raceway/cable schedules.
• Develop electrical design deliverables with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
• Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating engineering standards.
• Provide technical guidance to others regarding projects and disciplines.
• Maintain excellent client relations and attend project meetings.
• Ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 2-5 years of experience with high voltage substation design.
• Knowledge of utility standards, NESC, and construction techniques.
• Exposure to Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu preferred.
• EIT in pursuit of obtaining PE License.
• Candidate must be willing to travel.
