Overview

As the Senior Policy and Public Affairs Manager at Waabi, you will support the company’s mission in Texas and across the Sun Belt, engaging with lawmakers and stakeholders to enhance public trust in Waabi’s self-driving technology.

In Short

• Lead engagement with lawmakers and regulators across the southern US, focusing on Texas.
• Track and influence relevant legislation and regulations.
• Build relationships with local elected officials and represent Waabi at public events.
• Collaborate with other AV developers and industry stakeholders.
• Apply knowledge of advanced technology or transportation policy to build trust in Waabi’s products.
• Address major issues in the autonomous vehicle industry.
• Prioritize trust, transparency, and honesty in all projects.
• Preferably based in Dallas or Austin.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or public affairs.
• Degree in political science, sociology, economics, or related field.
• Experience in transportation and/or advanced technology issues.
• Ability to analyze complex policy problems and communicate effectively.
• Strong relationships across the Texas political landscape.
• Passionate about self-driving technologies and innovative policy solutions.
