Telecare Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights - Remote

Overview

The VITAS Telecare RN is responsible for identifying and addressing the needs of patients and families requiring assistance after normal business hours, utilizing the nursing process and Telecare Protocols.

In Short

• Provides clinical assessment and intervention.
• Acts as patient and family advocate.
• Coordinates service delivery after hours.
• Documents patient interactions and care plans.
• Provides bereavement support to families.
• Ensures compliance with documentation standards.
• Participates in team orientation and meetings.
• Seeks certification in hospice nursing.
• Instructs on medication and medical equipment use.
• Promotes a customer service-oriented approach.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of acute-care nursing experience.
• One year of customer service/call center experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Proficient in crisis management.
• Knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Typing speed of 40 WPM.
