Overview

Villa is building America’s leading next-generation homebuilding platform. We are seeking a talented and experienced Civil Engineer to lead site-related design and engineering efforts for residential prefab projects.

In Short

• Lead site-related design and engineering for residential prefab projects.
• Prepare grading, drainage, and utility plans for local jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with municipal codes and standards.
• Prepare permit-ready civil plan sets.
• Review Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
• Provide engineering support for site feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with internal teams for project milestones.
• Support construction with engineering observations.
• Work on complex sites to propose engineering solutions.
• Assist with subdivision map research and encroachment permits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 4+ years of experience.
• Civil Engineer (P.E.) license in California or ability to obtain reciprocity.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and civil design workflows.
• Experience with Bluebeam and Google Workspace preferred.
• Strong technical judgment and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with modular housing is a plus.
