Staff Software Engineer - Runtime Team - Remote

Overview

As a Staff Software Engineer on our Runtime team, you will work directly with Viant’s ad server, managing a high-volume, low-latency application that processes billions of unique requests a day.

In Short

• Work with state-of-the-art technology in bid optimization and dynamic performance optimization.
• Develop a self-diagnostic and healing architecture.
• Deliver scalable and extensible solutions balancing short-term and long-term considerations.
• Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software features.
• Focus on cost, scalability, performance, and fault-tolerance.
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
• Engage in bug triage and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions.
• Lead projects involving 2-3 other engineers.
• Collaborate with Product and other Engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Experience in software engineering and development.

• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques.
