VFX Financial is a rapidly growing FinTech company focused on helping complex organizations manage and protect money across borders. The Senior Data Engineer will own the design and reliability of VFX's data platform, ensuring accurate and reliable data for the organization.

In Short

• Own the end-to-end data platform including ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
• Design and maintain scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient data pipelines.
• Define and enforce data modeling standards.
• Build and maintain dbt projects.
• Establish strong DataOps practices.
• Implement and enforce data contracts and quality standards.
• Drive observability across the data platform.
• Lead root cause analysis for data issues.
• Optimize performance and cost across the data platform.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong programming ability in Python.
• Proven experience with dbt in production environments.
• Deep experience with modern cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of DataOps.
• Experience designing data models for analytics.
• Track record of improving reliability and performance of data systems.
• Ability to operate autonomously.
• Strong communication skills.
