Payroll Accountant - Remote

Overview

Veritas HHS seeks a Payroll Accountant for its corporate office located in Denver, CO. This position is responsible for the accounting and analytical functions related to payroll, benefits, and employee expense programs.

In Short

• Full-time position with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
• Location is Denver, CO, with hybrid and remote options for exceptional candidates.
• Salary range of $85,000 to $95,000 annually.
• Responsible for payroll accounting and reconciliation tasks.
• Monitor tax compliance across multiple states.
• Manage garnishments and wage attachments.
• Lead accounting support for annual audits.
• Experience with payroll accounting in a multi-state environment is required.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems needed.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in payroll accounting or a related function.
• Experience reconciling payroll to a general ledger.
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll tax requirements.
• Experience with garnishment processing.
• Strong Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables.
• Comfort working in an ERP environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
