Senior Engineer (Datadog SME) - Remote

Overview

The Senior Engineer (Datadog SME) at Velotio Technologies will be responsible for converting business SLAs/SLOs into technical implementations and owning the full stack of monitoring services.

In Short

• Convert business SLAs/SLOs into technical implementations
• Own full stack across APM, Logs, Metrics, RUM, Synthetics, Service Catalog, etc.
• Enforce best practices for PII hygiene, redaction, and SLOs
• Design robust monitors (threshold, anomaly, composite, etc.)
• Generate reports on MTTD/MTTR, alert noise, cost by service/team
• Everything as code: Terraform, APIs, CI/CD
• Lead a structured and data-driven FinOps initiative to reduce Datadog spend

Requirements

• Experience with Datadog and monitoring tools
• Strong understanding of cloud-native environments
• Proficiency in Terraform and CI/CD practices
• Ability to generate and analyze reports
• Knowledge of best practices for data privacy and hygiene
• Strong problem-solving skills
