Drainage and Transportation Engineer - Remote

Overview

Parsons is seeking an experienced Civil Drainage Engineer to support infrastructure projects that significantly impact community development.

In Short

• Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic studies for major transportation projects.
• Prepare drainage design for roadways, railroads, and bridges.
• Utilize CAE/CAD applications for advanced engineering techniques.
• Lead technical report preparation and documentation for projects.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
• Coordinate drainage design with other engineering disciplines.
• Assist in engineering computations and material quantity takeoffs.
• Work in a flexible, team-oriented environment.
• Foster communication with clients and subconsultants.
• Contribute to the Critical Infrastructure team at Parsons.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of related work experience in drainage design and hydraulics.
• Proficiency in CAD and hydrology/hydraulics software.
• Knowledge of Illinois Department of Transportation requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for team coordination.
• On path to obtain Professional Engineer registration.
• Experience with hydraulic analysis for major rivers is a plus.
