Overview

The Design Manager - Architect provides oversight to realize execution excellence in the delivery of all phases of detailed design projects, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.

In Short

• Lead and direct analysis and synthesis of conceptual design alternatives.
• Supervise preparation of high-quality urban design concept drawings.
• Monitor construction quality through technical design packages.
• Liaise with Project Managers and internal/external team members.
• Participate in writing technical proposals and estimating efforts.
• Maintain affiliations with professional societies.
• Ensure on-schedule completion of design projects within budget.
• Provide high-level liaison with clients and their representatives.
• Manage groups in established Architecture/Engineering firms.
• Keep abreast of trends and technologies in the field.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in masterplan/urban design.
• Experience managing groups and dealing with UAE municipalities.
• Proven leadership and delivery ability.
• Knowledge of LEED and ESTIDAMA principles preferred.
• Excellent English verbal and writing skills.
