Overview

The Armed Security Officer position at Parsons involves controlling access to a facility, responding to various emergencies, and maintaining safety and proficiency with assigned equipment.

In Short

• Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect vehicles.
• Ensure personnel have proper identification for base entry.
• Respond to incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, and bomb threats.
• Maintain proficiency in the use of control devices and weapons.
• Complete 40 hours of In-Service Training annually.
• Possess at least 6 months of relevant experience.
• Pass an annual physical fitness evaluation.
• Meet weapon qualification standards.
• First Aid and CPR training required.
• Active Top Secret security clearance is mandatory.

Requirements

• Experience in Law Enforcement, Corrections, Security, or Armed Forces.
• Ability to pass physical fitness tests.
• Weapon qualification with Glock 17, Shotgun, and Rifle.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Completion of FEMA Courses 100, 200, 700, and 800 is desired.
• Must have an active Top Secret security clearance.
