Security Officer - Remote

Overview

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and protection of the building and premises by managing access points, patrolling the site, and monitoring activities to prevent theft, vandalism, and violence.

In Short

• Patrol the premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of individuals.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities.
• Notify the Security Director in emergencies.
• Circulate among visitors and employees to preserve order.
• Answer telephone calls and provide information.
• Inspect and adjust security systems and equipment.
• Assist with severe weather activities.
• Maintain effective working relationships.
• Exercise a high degree of integrity and ethics.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior security experience.
• CPR Certification.
• Knowledge of Security State and Federal Laws.
• Ability to maintain applicable licensing requirements.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand information.
